Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy covers purchases of credits on Bytefork. The free tools and free daily credits cost nothing, so nothing to refund there. There are no subscriptions — credit packs are one-time purchases, so there is nothing to "cancel"; this policy is about refunds.
Digital goods
Credits are digital goods delivered instantly as a credit key. Because they can be used the moment they're delivered, used credits are non-refundable. However, we want this to be fair:
When you can get a refund
- Unused credits, within 14 days. If you bought a pack and have not used any of its credits, email us within 14 days and we'll refund it in full.
- Partially used, within 14 days. We may, at our discretion, refund the unused portion on request.
- Our fault. If a Pro tool fails to deliver a result because of an error on our side (e.g. transcription crashed and still charged you), we'll refund the affected credits or restore them — just contact us.
- Duplicate or accidental charge. Refunded in full.
What isn't refundable
- Credits already spent (the work was performed and the compute was paid for).
- Dissatisfaction with transcription accuracy — automated AI output is inherently imperfect; this is stated up front and you can test with free daily credits before buying.
- Requests made well after the 14-day window for unused credits (we may still help case-by-case).
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with your Stripe receipt or the email used at checkout. Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days. We don't need your credit key to process a refund.
Chargebacks
If something's wrong, please contact us first — we'll almost always sort it out faster than a chargeback. Filing a chargeback may result in the associated credit key being disabled.
Consumer rights
Nothing here limits any non-waivable refund or consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country.
